Why I’m Running

I’m running for Sheriff because Polk County needs consistent, reliable leadership focused on real results delivered year after year.

The Sheriff’s Office is entrusted with enormous responsibility: protecting families, supporting victims, managing emergencies, and overseeing a complex organization that operates 24/7. This role requires experience, judgment, and presence. I’m running because I already know the job, the people, and the responsibility that comes with it.

I’ve spent my career doing the work. I believe the best way to earn trust is by showing up, being accountable, and being honest about what can and cannot be done. Polk County deserves a Sheriff it can count on when things go wrong, not someone learning on the job.
