Don Burrows is running for Sheriff with a clear focus on experienced, steady leadership and a strong commitment to public safety. Burrows brings nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience, including his current role as second in command at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. His career spans patrol operations, investigations, supervision, emergency response, and leadership at both the county and municipal levels.
Burrows’ approach to law enforcement is practical and results‑driven, with priorities centered on keeping the public safe, making responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and implementing solutions that are proven to work. His platform emphasizes protecting schools, strengthening emergency communications, and addressing mental health and addiction challenges with smart, effective solutions that improve long‑term public safety.
