Highlights from Don Burrows’ Lincoln Day Dinner Speech

Saturday night at the Lincoln Day Dinner, Don Burrows shared a powerful message about truth, integrity, and leadership.

He spoke about the need for honesty in public service and emphasized that strong communities are built on trust. Don highlighted his deep roots in Polk County, decades of experience in law enforcement, and the endorsement of Sheriff Brent Waak.

He outlined his priorities if elected Sheriff: strengthening community safety, expanding partnerships with schools and local organizations, upholding constitutional rights, supporting proactive and transparent policing, addressing mental health and substance abuse issues, and collaborating with state and federal partners to keep Polk County safe.

Don closed by asking for support and reaffirming his belief that truth, integrity, and doing what’s right should guide every decision.
